Every tree planted on our website is unique and fighting against the menace of climate change. Our donors trust us for planting trees on their behalf and that is most important to us. Respecting this, the adoption of the technical revolution of secured and stable information, SankalpTaru welcomes and receives another chain, Blockchain, to let us eliminate the scope of human error or obstruction and pass the ball to you and to everyone, fair and square!
SankalpTaru had started with the motto of greening the planet, onset with barren lands to restoring the damage from environmental and human hazards, and slowly expanded our horizon. Inclined towards technology, our organisation decided to not just plant trees but enable our donors like you to carry out the activity online, debarring from factors like location, access, business hours, feasibility, affordability, amongst others. In addition, we created a database where tree information; such as its location, growth, and regular updates could be made available. However, managing such a large database comes with some downsides, like human error, but we found a solution- Blockchain, powered by Polygon!
Moving to Blockchain would prevent any fraud or human error leading to the one unique tree being assigned to more than one donor. Once assigned to a donor, one unique tree can’t be RECLAIMED for anyone else. Also, it will prevent any other entity from claiming every ‘unique’ tree (which has been planted by SankalpTaru) as something that they have planted.
With Polygon, SanklapTaru will be able to provide information about your trees, your contribution to the planet and to the lives of innumerable farmers, in the most transparent format. It will help us mark our purpose of removing the scope of doubts and errors from the network and display its authenticity. This is to say that every block of information is stored all across the network, leading to a worldwide environment where everyone is in the know.

- Introduction and Integration
Polygon is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. It solves pain points associated with Blockchains, like slow speeds, etc. without sacrificing security; i.e. it is open, powerful & secure. Blocks have certain storage capacities and, when filled, are closed and linked to the previously filled block, forming a chain of data known as the blockchain.

On providing transparency- each node has its own copy of the chain that gets updated as fresh blocks are confirmed and added. This means that anyone could track the information about every single tree on the network.
All new information that follows, the freshly added block is compiled into a newly formed block that will then also be added to the chain once filled. The innovation with a Blockchain is that it guarantees the fidelity and security of a record of data and generates trust without the need for a trusted third party.
We heard some doubtful, apprehensive thoughts of our donors, concerned regarding their contributions, their authenticity. We turned our vigilant side to work! Went beyond and adopted technology so transparent that you will build the trust within us with your trees.

- Integration Details
The integration is mapped out to take place in mid-February 2022 and from the moment beyond, some of the existing and all future trees of SankalpTaru will be registered and become a part of a chronologically created network, frozen; i.e., not subjected to any change upon registration. New trees (entries) will keep on adding up, to the existing network of data, open to all for viewing and monitoring purposes.
